Computers are expensive pieces of equipment. Taking care of a PC involves monitoring symptoms of hardware overload to prevent permanent damage to the components or data loss.
Argus Monitor will use the sensors inside your computer to monitor hardware status, such as CPU, hard disk and GPU temperature.
The tasks this software performs are not complex so its interface is quite simple, too. At the top of the main window, you can select different views. The first one is an overview showing graphically and textually the temperatures of each of the CPU’s cores as well as of each of the hard disks. The next views are dedicated to showing specific information, such as CPU temperature, GPU temperature, HD temperature, S.M.A.R.T., CPU speed and CPU multipliers.
When minimized, the software keeps running from the system tray where it shows the HD temperature by default but this software can be configured to show other hardware data. The temperature can be shown in Celsius or Fahrenheit. Besides, you can configure threshold temperatures to generate warnings when they are exceeded. You can also monitor fan speed and free hard disk space.
You can also set it to start along with Windows and to generate logs. You can also complement this software with a Windows desktop gadget for easy access to the information.
Monitors and alerts administrator of hard disk SMART attributes and bad sectors.
